Swiss architectural designer Jan Kinsbergen presents a visual, experimental investigation into the architectonic potential of the horizontal surface in building processes. Taking the format of a folded manifesto, ‘Plates’ encompasses both drawings and images, alongside texts by Kinsbergen, structural engineer Neven Kostic, and architect David Klemmer. The publication concludes with a conversation between Kinsbergen and Claudia Mion, architect and editorial director of Caryatide, a Paris-based platform for reflection on architecture, art, and design.
